Foothills

Many of my favorite subjects are just a few steps outside my door. In addition to being captivated by the more obvious beauty of wildflowers and wildlife in this area, I also love the smaller, more subtle natural wonders that often get overlooked: interesting lichen, mosses, mushrooms, and colorful rocks among the dredge tailings around Lake Natoma.
